Redesigned in an expanded modular format, the Training School is scheduled to run from October 13 to November 13, 2025 as a five-week program with three or four sessions per week, thus facilitating broader participation and sustained academic engagement. The working language of the program will be English.

a broad and comprehensive knowledge of the interdisciplinary methodology, understanding of the processes and innovative approaches to sustainable governance within the UNEP/MAP Barcelona Convention system
Explore
the creative inter-linkages of environmental law and environmental governance with political science, ecology, technology, biological science, climate science, economics and social sciences
Use an interactive approach
to learning through a user-friendly educational platform promoted by the MEPIELAN Centre, promoting active learning methodologies and supporting interactive features to engage participants in the discussion of the topics at hand

The Training School will be conducted by a network of eminent academics, distinguished experts, decision-makers and practitioners from international organizations and prestigious academic institutions collaborating in addressing critical issues related to environmental governance and sustainability in the Mediterranean region
Participants will be awarded
a Certificate & 6 ECTS*
signed by UNEP/MAP, MEPIELAN Centre and EPLO
*Participants who wish to obtain ECTS are required to submit an essay of approx. 3.000 words at the end of the Training School on a topic related to the lectures of the Mediterranean EcoGov Training School and supervised by a lecturer of their choice.
